The FIND Graduate Day is an event where FIND students and faculty can meet, get to know each other, share their research, and welcome new incomers.
This event will take place on Thursday, Sep 21st, starting from 4:15 pm. The agenda is to start from a series of lightning talks (2-3 min each) and follow with light refreshments and mingle time. The lightning talks are an opportunity for FIND members to introduce themselves, their general area of research, and share problems/results they are currently working on. This is open to every Cornell faculty/postdoc/student who is (or would like to be) a FIND member. To sign up for a lightning presentation please:
- By Sep. 15: Add your name to this Google spreadsheet.
- By Sep. 20: Upload 1-2 slides to our Box folder by sending an email with your slides (in PDF format and specifying your name in the file name) to this address: FIND_Gr.chfw2uzfzeu96q98@u.box.com.
This is going to be an informal, no-stress event that gives a chance for students and faculty to get to know each other and form meaningful connections.
- For faculty, please encourage your students to present and consider signing up yourselves.
- For students, please consider signing up even if you don’t have a fully formed result yet but would like to tell us which problems you FIND interesting!
For any questions, feel free to send an email to fp264@cornell.edu or goldfeld@cornell.edu.
